What is your favorite thing about your salon suite so far?
The storage, the bright space, my window, the building atmosphere, the list goes on. I’ve been an independent stylist for almost 5 years now and the importance of smaller drawers for storage is VERY important. It makes my days go by with ease. The natural light for the windows and the bright white space helps to see colors textures more freely. And last but not least, the atmosphere here is relaxed and peaceful. My clients love the upscale décor of the building and that there’s no chaos and everyone gets along and respects each other.
What is the best thing about being an independent beauty professional?
The best thing is being able to make decisions freely without guilt. Whether its a big change, a day off, or even a week off, I’m able to have that freedom to choose what I want and have free expression.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about transitioning to a salon suite from a traditional salon?
It’s hard work and it’s scary at first but change is scary. Change is also rewarding and exciting. This will be one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences you’ll have.
What do you love most about 7 Salon Suites?
The management. I’ve never been somewhere where the communication between suite owners and management is so thorough. They take care of every need and they’re very present.
