This month our suite spotlight is on Lina Najib and Katherine Berishaj, co-owners of The Glam Lab in our Shelby Township (Utica) location! Katherine and Lina specialize in all things brows (waxing, tinting, lamination), make-up, lashes, and more! What is your favorite thing about your salon suite so far?
Lina: The comfort and the luxury in each detail. The freedom to express myself and make memories with each and every one of my clients.
Katherine: 7 Salon Suites in Utica is brand new and so gorgeous! I love coming into work every day! It’s so cozy and relaxing. Also, being in a building surrounded with woman who own their own business is so empowering!
What is the best thing about being an independent beauty professional?
Lina: Being my own boss and motivating myself to do better every day. I also love having flexibility in my schedule and being able to make my own hours and be more available for my clients.
Katherine: Owning what you do and love! Seeing your passions and talents come to life and being able to make a career out of that is the best feeling!
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about transitioning to a salon suite from a traditional salon?
Lina: Be your own boss and know your worth. Success is never owned it’s rented and rent is due every week! Don’t limit yourself, many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. Remember, what you believe, you can achieve.
Katherine: If you have an established client base, owning your own suite is the way to go! Freedom and independence at your fingertips. Choosing your décor, design, products, services, and everything in between has been the best experience. I worked over 15 years in the beauty industry and transitioning to a business owner has been the best and happiest decision of my life!
What do you love most about 7 Salon Suites?
Lina: I love how understanding and supportive management is and I love how luxurious the suites are!
Katherine: I love Everything!
